Gatorgas Propane History

Our History

Frank and Debbie Anderson established Gatorgas LP, Inc in 1985 from their family home. What started as a small cylinder exchange has now grown into a full service and delivery operation that serves North Central Florida and the Gulf Coast communities.

Frank Anderson set the foundation of Gatorgas with partner Bob Gratton. Frank and Bob established a business relationship and ultimately became what felt like brothers. Frank and Bob built Gatorgas into what it is today, and they prided themselves on providing prompt, efficient service at an affordable price.

Growing Gatorgas didn’t come easy. It took Jesus, grace, strength, determination, hard work, long hours and to put it simply, Frank wanted to succeed. In 1986 the home office and bulk plant of Gatorgas was built and is still in operation today on HWY 349 in Old Town Florida.

Going on 40 years of service, Gatorgas employees and the family of Frank Anderson continue to serve the North Central Florida and Gulf Coast Communities. Because of loyal, committed, and potential customers like you, we’re able to carry on Franks legacy with Gatorgas even after his passing. Franks “yes” on founding Gatorgas in now a business to his wife Debbie, daughter Jennifer, and two grandsons Tyler and Jonathan (and wife Juli-Anna), who run and operate Gatorgas daily with (5) additional employees who are just like family.

We’re the propane people but more like the propane family. Give us a call today and allow us the opportunity to welcome you to our family.
